Behind Propalpin - Gil Carrillo de Albornoz

I began my corporate career in 1994 managing residential properties. Then, via the management of Bodies Corporate (the Australian equivalent of Residents Management Companies) I moved to commercial property in the late ‘90’s.

As thousands of Australians have done before, I moved to London looking for exposure to a larger market and new methods. After a short time at CBRE, my last corporate job was as a Commercial Asset Manager for The Portman Estate in the west end of London before travelling to Verbier for, what I thought was going to be, a 2 week holiday in February of 2009.

A lover of skiing from an early age, the spring of ‘09 in Verbier was the first time I had spent a summer day in the mountains. After that, there was no turning back, and I have been a permanent resident ever since.
